Dry Compound Cleaning process
This process involves a dry compound powder that contains detergents and solvents being spread over a carpeted area and agitated by a counter rotating wet/dry machine.
How does it work?
The powder attracts and absorbs soil and it changes colour to indicate it is working. After the compound dries it is vacuumed away leaving the fibres free from soil.
This method is most beneficial for use on water sensitive carpets with dyes that are water soluble, have a possible shrinkage risk, sea grass, or where the use of moisture in prohibited areas such as around computer towers.
Some carpets require this type of cleaning to ensure the manufacturer’s warranty is adhered to.
