Insecticide Treatments
Carpet Insecticide treatments, also known as de-infestation, are not limited to just Pet owners. In the east of England in particular, Carpet moths are a big problem. We have the skills and knowledge to deal with all kinds of small insects that create damage and problems to our carpets.
Treatments to the affected area are sometimes completed by a heat treatment or insecticide application. It is often advisable to treat other areas of carpets where carpet moths, Fleas and other insects have been a problem.
Damage by Carpet Moth can sometimes be rectified by means of our carpet repair service. We are able to re-tuft small areas of removed carpet fibres, or where off cuts are available, We can seamlessly patch and repair the damaged areas.
Getting rid of pests in your carpet
Application is carried out by a certified technician to a freshly vacuumed carpet area that stays slightly tacky for up to 30 days. Once applied the property needs to be vacant for 2 hours after application. The product will work for up to 30 days so when the problem pest comes into contact with the tacky product, it’s ingested and allowed to poison the insect.
On rare occasions, a second application is needed for complete removal. The process, once dry, is safe for children and pets.
Fleas and Carpet Moths
Other household pests can be treated with our process but most common to our trade are the moth and flea. Pre-inspection and identification of a few key items of your carpets are essential.
